Umrah step by step (sample)
A short overview of the four main rites of Umrah, for first-time pilgrims.
Umrah has four main rites. Our guides walk you through each one before you travel.
1. Ihram
Enter the state of Ihram before crossing the Miqat, with the intention for Umrah and the Talbiyah.
2. Tawaf
Circle the Kaaba seven times, starting from the Black Stone.
3. Sa'i
Walk seven times between Safa and Marwah.
4. Halq or Taqsir
Men shave or shorten their hair; women cut a small length. This completes Umrah.
